Refund policy
We have a 3 day return policy, which means you have 3 days after receiving your item to request a return.Β
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. Youβll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at sales@thebakkieshop.co.za. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the address sent to you via email.
If your return is accepted, weβll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

- Any return must be discussed with a consultant from The Bakkie Shop in advance, and authorised to ensure a quick and effortless process.

- An item is only confirmed faulty once received back by The Bakkie Shop and tested by one of our technicians.

- All our products carry a 12 month warranty (unless stated otherwise) which covers any and all manufacturing defects (terms and conditions apply).

- This means if there is a quality/manufacturerβs defect that causes the device to be unusable during the 12 months after dispatch from our warehouse, we will accept a return and either repair the item, replace the item with an identical new item, or an equivalent item that you accept or offer credit or a refund.
- If you choose to not have the item repaired or replaced there will be a min of 20% handling fee charged on the transaction.
- PLEASE NOTE: NO WARRANTY IF NOT INSTALLED BY A FITMENT CENTRE (SELF INSTALLATIONS DO NOT CARRY A WARRANTY
- All returned products must be sent (by whatever means suits the customer) together with the original packaging and all accessories, relevant paperwork unless otherwise agreed by The Bakkie Shop.
- Shipping cost to The Bakkie Shop is for the customerβs account. If the item is found/confirmed faulty, we will offer a replacement for the same or similar item, of same cost and/or same specification. If for any reason we cannot provide the customer with a suitable replacement, we will offer a refund (excluding the shipping costs). If a returned item is found to be in good order and not faulty, the return shipping costs to the customer will be for the customerβs account. If the customer chooses not to have the item shipped back and request a refund a min of 15% handling fee charge will apply on the transaction and the original shipping cost and the return shipping cost will be the customerβs account.
- If an item is returned to The Bakkie and we find physical damage to the product caused by the user it will invalidate the warranty. Opening products up, e.g. to repair or modify components, invalidates the warranty. Flashing the firmware or using non-approved software invalidates the warranty. If the warranty seal/s are broken, it is considered tampered with and the warranty will be void.
- No replacement or refund will apply and the return cost to the customer will be for the customerβs account
- Damages and issues
- Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

The Bakkie Shop warrant all products to be free of defects at time of shipping. All products are subject to the manufacturerβs terms and warranties.
Prior to returning faulty products you agree to contact us first so that we can provide you with the necessary details to effect the return. Returns on faulty or damaged goods must be submitted within 7 days of taking delivery, together with a proof of purchase, in the original packing.
In the unlikely event that a product should become faulty during the warranty period, the product may be returned in order to effect repair or replacement.
The manufacturer or its official distributing agent will, at their sole discretion, determine if the repair or replacement can be honoured under the terms of the warranty. Their decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Also note that a 20% Handling fee may be levied on ALL RETURNS of correctly supplied, or non-defective goods as per order displayed, if returned within 7 days (In its original packaging and in a resaleable condition), otherwise items cannot be returned. Delivery fees will not be refunded and the cost of returning the goods to us will be for your account.
No Warranty on DIY FITMENTS!!! We sell Aftermarket NON-OEM products, so we cannot confirm that all items will always fit 100% allΒ ofΒ theΒ time.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
All goods supplied correctly will only be returned apon the the suppliers discression, should the item be accepted for refund a 15% handeling fee will be charged.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. Youβll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once weβve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, youβll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10-21 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
